Backup von IMAP Konten

„IMAPSize is a freeware Windows application that allows you to quickly and efficiently manage your IMAP mail accounts. It is not another mail client. The main purpose of IMAPSize is to locate space consuming folders and allow you to manage them, hence putting your storage quota under control. To accomplish this task IMAPSize offers a variety of useful (and some unique) operations.“

1. E-Mail Konto anlegen: Account → New → IMAP Zugangsdaten eintragen
2. Unter Optionen den Speicherort definieren (Standard: Programmverzeichnis\backup\konto)
3. Account → Account Backup
4. Ordner auswählen und starten

Sollen die alten Mails und gleichzeitig vom Mailserver gelöscht werden, können Sie auch mit Thunderbird heruntergeladen und in ein neues Konto/Profil kopiert werden. Als Backup-Lösung kommt so z.B. auch ein Thunderbird Portable in Frage.
